Hilarious footage has captured a hungry bear perpetually failing in her efforts to steal food from the bird feeder in a backyard in Massachusetts.

The large, furry creature is filmed doing her utmost to steal food from a bird feeder perched on the top of a pole in a family’s backyard, only to fail miserably every time.

Initially scaling the wooden pole, the determined bear is seen attempting to unhook the feeder with one of her paws and when that fails, she tries to rip the whole thing away with her teeth.

Resorting to brute force, the famished animal wraps her powerful teeth around the metal container to try and rip it to the ground.

Unfortunately, all she successfully manages to do is squash the feeder flat in her mouth, coming away just a few seeds. “That was a lot of effort to do that, wasn’t it?” the man jokes as though addressing the bear.
