The incredible moment a taxi driver refuses to stop and keeps going after hitting a stroller with an 11-month-old baby girl inside has been caught on camera.
The 42-year-old taxi driver, who had ignored a current ban on driving after an earlier accident, didn’t stop, despite crushing the baby in the stroller.
The 11-month-old girl was killed in the crash in Kurchatov, in the Kursk Oblast region of Russia.
The video was taken from a car driving in the opposite direction and has captured the stroller trapped under the front of the taxi’s bumper.
The clip quickly went viral and prompted calls for the arrest of the driver, who has not been identified, as well as for the shaming of the taxi company who employed her, despite the existing ban on driving.
Considering the woman’s driving ban, which had been issued in May, the taxi company should have ensured that she was not hired.
For her part, the taxi driver claimed that she had panicked and did not know what to do after hitting the stroller.
The baby’s mother was also hit by the car and was badly injured in the collision, though she is expected to recover.
