And here are the highlights:
The German flight attendant first met the dog while out walking in Buenos Aires.
Their friendship developed after Sievers gave the stray dog some attention and food.
Every time she returned to Argentina she would find the sad looking pooch waiting for her.
Sievers believed the dog just wanted some attention and she wasn’t nervous to be his friend.
The flight attendant documented her developing relationship with the stray dog on Facebook.
She shared photos of him waiting for her outside her hotel, every day and night.
Rubio would curl up on the mat and wait for Sievers to come back to him.
Despite hotel guests coming and going from the city center hotel, Rubio did not move from his spot.
No longer a stray, Sievers shared a picture her new pet with a bright orange lead.
The dog appears to be settling in well to his new home in Germany.
Sievers said after landing in Frankfurt “Rubio was perfectly treated at Lufthansa Animal Lounge”.
