A home security camera captured the moment a 13-year-old girl fights off a sexual predator who forced his way inside her home in California.
Police in San Jose, California, are looking for a man who tried last month to sexually assault a woman in a grocery store restroom and earlier this week forced his way into the home of a 13-year-old girl as she returned home from school.
On Tuesday, the man was captured on camera following the teenager, as she walked home from school. Police said the man forced his way through the front door of the girl’s home as she went inside.
She was able to fight him off and he fled before police arrived.
The teen locked the front door after the attacker left, hid in a closet and texted her father:
DADDY COME HOME NOW. SOME GUY TRIED TO RAPE ME.
San Jose Police Sgt. Enrique Garcia said:
The guy starts a conversation with her and when she opens up the door, the suspect pushes her in, tries to sexually assault her as well. The little girl is brave, she fights back, and the guy leaves on foot.
He’s not concerned about being caught, since he’s doing this in broad daylight.
