I really, truly like what this artist is doing in her city. She goes by the nom de guerre NeSpoon and uses intricate lace patterns to spice up the streets of the Polish capital, Warsaw.
The artist incorporates this delicate pattern into ceramics, stencils, paintings and even webbing, set up in public spaces. NeSpoon calls her art “public jewelry”, which she sees as an act of beautification by transforming abandoned or bare, plain-looking spaces into something far more aesthetically pleasing. She adds:
Jewelry makes people look pretty, my public jewelry has the same goal, make public places look better. I would like people who discover, here and there, my small applications, to smile and just simply feel better.
Awesome work! (Scroll down for the video.)
