Responding to a call, an Ohio police officer shot at a dog but missed and hit a four-year-old girl instead.
A Columbus patrol officer was answering a call on Friday afternoon after a family started screaming for help because of a medical emergency.
The officer responded and was allegedly met by a dog. Police said that the as-of-yet unidentified officer shot at the dog, however a stray or ricocheted bullet hit the toddler instead, CBS reports. (Scroll down for the video.)

Columbus Police have said that the unidentified child is in stable condition and is treated at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
