When he first noticed the reddish stains on his kitchen wall, Thomas Kennedy just wiped them off, but the mysterious blots soon reappeared.
That’s when Kennedy, of Midwest City, Oklahoma, called police who told him that his walls were oozing blood.
The chilling incident, which may have been taken straight out of a Stephen King novel, occurred in late May at Fairfax Apartments in Midwest City, where Kennedy lives with his wife and children. (Scroll down for the video.)
1. The sudden appearance of these mysterious red streaks on an apartment wall in Midwest City, Oklahoma, has led to the discovery of a dead neighbor.
He said that his young son first saw the red stains on the wall underneath a spice rack. Kennedy told KOCO:
I got a sponge and I wiped it. Soon as I wiped it, it started coming down again.
He then called the local police department. As soon as the officers saw the stains, they knew that they were looking at blood.
They then went upstairs and found that Kennedy’s neighbor had died.
2. Thomas Kennedy said he became concerned when he could not get rid of the stains on the kitchen wall, no matter how hard he tried to wash them off.
3. Following the unsettling discovery, a biohazard team was called in to remove parts of Kennedy’s walls and ceiling.
Kennedy said that police told him that it looked as though the unidentified neighbor had fallen and cracked his head.
Following the gruesome discovery, a biohazard team removed parts of the apartment’s contaminated walls and ceiling and cleaned up the area.
The Kennedys have now been relocated to a different apartment in the same complex.
The medical examiner’s office has determined that the neighbor has died of natural causes, which prompted the Midwest City police to close the case.
