If the headline led you to believe that I’ve gone crazy, just scroll down a bit and you’ll see what I’ve had in mind (that being said, I may still be going crazy). This must be the craziest home appliance ever.
The Cloud, as the extravagant light piece is aptly named, is a creation of designer Richard Clarkson who, as one might easily guess, enjoys experimenting with products, lights, and furniture. The Cloud is an interactive light that is shaped like a cumulus cloud and simulates a thunderstorm, in both light and sound effects. Mr. Clarkson explains:
The Cloud is an interactive lamp and speaker system, designed to mimic a thundercloud in both appearance and entertainment. Using motion sensors the cloud detects a userΓÇÖs presence and creates a unique lightning and thunder show dictated by their movement. The system features a powerful speaker system from which the user can stream music via any Bluetooth compatible device. Using color-changing lights the cloud is able to adapt to the desired lighting color and brightness. The cloud also has alternative modes such as a nightlight and music reactive mode.
