A woman died in Ibiza, Spain, after falling over a cliff, as she was celebrating the marriage proposal she had just received from her boyfriend.
The police said that 29-year-old Dimitrina Dimitrova lost her balance as she was jumping up and down in excitement, after her boyfriend asked for her hand in marriage, The Daily Mail reports. The couple, from Bulgaria, were at a romantic spot famed for its sunset views.
Ms. Dimitrova suffered a heart attack, caused by the injuries sustained in the 65-foot fall in the resort town of Cala Tarida on Ibiza’s west coast. She was alive but unconscious when the paramedics arrived but died at the scene just minutes later.

The tragic incident took place around noon on Tuesday. A local Civil Guard spokesman said:
Everything is pointing towards the death being the result of a tragic freak accident.
A source added:
Her boyfriend lived and worked on Ibiza. She had arrived two days earlier to visit him and look for work.
She fell seconds after her partner surprised her by proposing to her as she jumped up and down with emotion.
The dead woman’s devastated waiter boyfriend is believed to have selected the beauty spot to make his marriage proposal.

A similar incident occurred last August in the popular tourist spot Cabo da Roca, Portugal, where a Polish couple fell to their deaths while taking a selfie at a cliff’s edge.
That couple’s children, aged five and six, witnessed the tragedy and were taken into care before returning to to Poland to live with relatives.
