A year ago, a husky was found badly injured and barely clinging to life amid a pile of trash in a Los Angeles garbage dump and was given a second chance by the animal rescuers at Hope For Paws. But with the help of a Chihuahua rescued around the same time she has made a stunning transformation.
Eldad Hagar of Hope For Paws named the pair of rescue dogs Miley (the Husky) and Frankie (the Chihuahua). The two quickly became best friends and helped each other recover while awaiting adoption.
Frankie had been rescued from a drainpipe and Hagar said that was terrified of everything — except of blue-eyed Miley, who towered over him. The incongruous pair became inseparable.
When the video of Miley and Frankie’s rescue was published a year ago, it immediately went viral, getting close to 19 million hits on YouTube as of the date of writing.
That caused a spike in Miley and Frankie’s adoption requests and the two were quickly taken in by loving families.
In the new video, which has already collected more than 230,000 views, Hagar reflects on Miley’s and Frankie’s rescues friendship and their incredible recoveries. He shows us footage of his visit to Miley’s new home and it is truly amazing to witness the transformation the Husky has gone through in a year. Here is the new video:
