We all know just how much planning goes into every aspect of a wedding and I am sure that this would have been the case with Lauren and Erick when they tied the knot this weekend in Stockton, NJ. And yet, it was something completely unplanned (and unplannable) that made the couple’s wedding photoshoot one that really stands out. Photographer Ian Christmann taking the couple’s photos in the backyard when something magical happened — a herd of deer appeared in the background and were clearly struck by the sight. Christmann asked the bride and groom whether they wanted to have their photos taken with the herd of deer and the newlyweds, unsurprisingly, agreed. Christmann then wrote on his website:
The deer were quite jittery as we approached, so I didn’t expect that we would be able to get so close!
The images quickly went viral after the photographer posted them on Facebook on Sunday evening and by Monday morning they had been posted to Reddit, where they were the top link for three hours, being viewed an astonishing 3 million times in just a day. Christmann said:
A couple of people have asked if it was photoshopped and the answer is “nope”. It’s a straight out of the camera capture apart from some dodging and burning and coloring in post.
