Russian supermodel Elena Perminova has shared stunning photos which show her transformation from a heavily pregnant woman to perfect beauty in just 60 days.

The 28-year-old Perminova, a wife of media tycoon and former Soviet KGB spy Alexander Lebedev, had a Caesarian section last year to give birth of her third child.

She is straightforward about the severe daily regime she subjected herself to get back in shape and admits that “I started [exercising] just two weeks afterwards, even though I had a Caesarian. There were no breaks at weekends.”

Perminova initially posed naked for Russian Vogue when she was eight months pregnant with her new daughter. Her husband Mr. Lebedev owns The Independent and The London Evening Standard.

The second image was taken just 60 days after baby Arina’s arrival and was accompanied by the Siberian-born model’s advice to Russian women on how to get back into shape after pregnancy.

The revealing photographs, along with Perminova’s comments in the up-market magazine, sparked a lively debate in Russia over whether her rapid return to shape is viable for most women. Russian Vogue told its readers:

Perminova is posing naked. She has nothing to hide. What’s more, she has something to show. Her body is in ideal shape, although two months after birth is nothing at all in terms of time.

Perminova said:

Normally doctors say “yes” to sport only three months after giving birth. But I started earlier, just two weeks afterwards, even though I had a Caesarian.

The doctor allowed me to do it because I felt very well. Naturally, at first I was not exercising a lot, or there was a risk to breastfeeding.

And the main thing — I did not exercise my stomach. It is dangerous to do it right after birth.

She did simple exercises as her baby slept. She elaborated:

For example, I ‘stand’ on my knees and elbows and lift my legs one by one.

This routine continued everyday, with “no breaks at weekends”. She explained:

The result came very soon — the buttocks lifted, the legs gathered up. All thanks to the fact that muscles have good memory.

Before pregnancy I became a fitness fan. I went to the ordinary fitness club, I exercised honestly, exhausting myself, and soon I could easily lift 20 kilos.

During the pregnancy I had to give up sports for medical reasons, but then I got back to it. And here is the result. It did not take long. I can’t say I am a big fan of sports. I just have a strong will.

Before exercising I visualize the desired result — a thin waist, provocative hips, well-turned arms. Energy and passion come at the next moment.

She has found some of the best techniques for keeping in shape on social media, she says and adds:

Instagram motivates me a lot. Thanks to the social networks, sports becomes accessible. You do not need to hire a celebrity coach.

It is enough to follow their account and watch a couple of videos. I like the account of Australian Instagram star Kayla Itsines (@kayla_itsines).

She has a million followers. She is a distinguished fitness instructor and she posts exercises which you can do anywhere and without special equipment.

I can’t stop reading the Instagram of Brazilian supermodel, Victoria’s Secret Angel Izabel Goulart (@iza_goulart).

In her videos she shows how to train cleverly in the fitness club with the most tricky equipment.

The results, she adds, “are in our own hands… just look at Izabel walking in her micro bikini on the podium”.

Another key to her post-baby shape, Perminova added, was a family holiday in Cyprus soon after the new baby’s arrival last April. She said:

For the first time, my husband and I went jogging. Every morning we went to the mountains for couple of hours while my mother or mother-in-law were taking care of the baby.

Of course there was nothing glamorous in our looks – sweating and tired, we ran on stones, flies landing on our faces, and the sun was shining.

But it was jogging which helped me get rid of extra weight and “dry up”, removing the extra water in my body. Before pregnancy, I used to go to the gym with my husband. I like exercising together.

When I was 20, there was no place for fitness in my life, I was so much sure of myself, that I was slim and thin on my own.

She also paid attention to her diet. She says:

I lack weight, usually I am 50 kilos when the normal weight for my height is 58. Of course, I put on weight after birth.

But extra kilos, I better say complementary kilos in certain places, for example, on the hips, is something I rather like. My lack of weight does not mean that I can eat all I want, or as much as I want.

If I eat a lot of pastry and sweets, I will not put on weight but I can easily get cellulite or acne. This is why I am trying to eat the right food – simple homemade fare, for example, steamed fish with lemon juice.

Another advice from her for women is to take a romantic break with her partner:

At least once a year you should go on holiday with your husband — and without children. It seriously improves the atmosphere at home.

The woman leaves her mummy image and becomes a seductress. Sasha and I can fly somewhere away just for three or four days, not longer, even to far the away Maldives.

When they’re away, Perminova admits the couple “crazily miss” their two sons Nikita, five, and Egor, three, along with daughter Arina, who is now nine months old.
