The Siberian Winter Is Brutally Cold and Harsh… But It Is Also Otherworldly Beautiful, WOW!

British photographer Bryan Alexander has documented the incredibly hard life of people living in Siberia in a fascinating series of photos that will be exhibited in London’s Horniman Museum later this year.

The 40 photographs that will be displayed feature images of Chukchi, Dolgan, Even, Khanty, Komi, Nenets, and Nganasan people — all natives of Siberia. Alexander’s work shows us how these people make their living today and offers us a glimpse into some traditional activities such as herding, hunting and fishing.

But the photos also depict the amazing beauty of this vast inhospitable northern region. It is a truly remarkable effort by the British photographer. Enjoy!
