The Associated Press has released a video interview that shows Bill Cosby finally responding to multiple recent allegations that he drugged and raped women over decades.
Flanked by his wife Camille, the actor looks uncomfortable, and very irritated, as he is asked the question. The previously unreleased interview was filmed back on November 6, but has just been released. Cosby tells the AP interviewer:
There’s no response. There is no comment about that. And I’ll tell you why. I don’t want to compromise your integrity, but I don’t talk about it.
Cosby’s publicist then gets very irritated that the question is even asked, and the actor himself demands that it not be put in with the video. “I would appreciate it if it was scuttled”, are his exact words.
The AP has said that they did not release the video at the time it was taken. The interview was meant to be about the the actor’s loan of 50 artworks to the Smithsonian. The interviewer’s question was based on the claims which stand-up comedian Hannibal Buress had made that Cosby had sexually assaulted women and which brought up the subject again.
This is the most Cosby has said so far on the allegations. Five women have recently come forward, saying that the actor drugged and raped them. And here is the video of the interview:
1. Bill Cosby was forced to respond to claims that he drugged and raped several women in an interview with his wife Camille by his side.
2. Cosby (pictured) responded to the allegations made against him saying he has ‘no response’ and ‘no comment’.
3. Cosby later said he did not want his response to the question to air.
4. Actor Stacey Dash tweeted her support for Cosby on Wednesday.
And here is the surreal moment when CNN’s Don Lemon discussed with one of Bill Cosby’s accusers the subject that “there are ways not to perform oral sex” :
