The Bright Green Cat Whose Appearance Caused An Uproar Is (Almost) Back To Her Natural Look After Animal Rights Activists Gave Her A Bath.

The famous bright green cat which became an internet sensation a month ago was restored to her less glamorous natural look, after animal rights activists gave the feline a wash.

The unusually colored cat was spotted walking around the streets of Varna, Bulgaria’s biggest port on the Black Sea, in early December. But these days, all that reminds of the feline’s headline grabbing appearance are her green ears and a small patch on her chest, though her fur retains a somewhat grass-like glow.

As soon as news of the emerald-green feline broke out, residents of Varna — Bulgaria’s biggest coastal city — set up a Facebook group called “Punishment to the the perpetrator of this criminal act”, with a rather explicit objective.

However, it was later revealed that the cat got her fancy appearance has developed a green hue from sleeping on an abandoned heap of synthetic green paint in a garage. This claim has been backed by observations which show that the stray feline becomes progressively more green with each passing day.

In the video below we see the uniquely coated feline playing with a ginger cat, whose seems not in the least bothered by her pal’s stark bright-green fur. (Scroll down for the video.)
