There used to be a large population of non Afghanis in Afghanistan. Just like America today. Afghanistan was a very multi-cultural country at that time. West Germany built beautiful structures, The west had a very big impact on the culture. Teachers were from all over Europe and America and movies came from hollywood and western music was displayed in stores.
