So, Reddit user iBleeedorange directs my attention to the “sand bar off the Bermuda Triangle that caught 16 ships“. It is an absolutely stunning image of a bunch of rusty old ships which have come to rest at a place which could only be described as a paradise on Earth.
Well, after doing some research, it turned out that this isn’t actually anywhere near the deadly Bermuda Triangle. Instead the image turned out to depict the Tangalooma Wrecks off of Moreton Island just off of Australia. The wrecks, I learned, were sunk there to create a safe harbor for the smaller boats on the island, which would be just to the left of the first picture below and are visible in the second image.
I was so impressed by the image, though, that I looked up a few more of the place and am sharing them with you here. (Scroll down for the videos.)
