I never thought that such a thing was possible in real life. In fact, I never even considered the possibility. I mean, we know how much our dogs love us, but to pass out from joy at seeing us?! That surely stretches credibility, doesn’t it? And yet, this is precisely what happened when Casey the schnauzer met her owner Rebecca Ehalt for the first time in two years.
Ms. Ehalt tells us on YouTube that she has been living and working in Slovenia and returned to her family home in Murrysville, PA, where Casey had stayed, for the first time in two years (as she reminds us, that is 14 years in dog years). Well, the video footage below shows her walking up the driveway of her parents’ house where she is greeted by the giddy pet schnauzer, who eventually works herself up to a point where she can’t take it any longer and flops on her side (at around the 23rd second or so). The person filming the incident is heard commenting:
I think someone really likes you.
No kidding! Ms. Ehalt is quick to allay our fears:
The schnauzer, Casey, was taken to the vet, the vet saw the video, and everything is fine with her. No worries.
This is really something I have never seen. Needless to say, the story has become an instantaneous social media sensation, getting millions of views on YouTube, so far. (Scroll down for the video.)
1. Video footage shows Rebecca Ehalt walking up the driveway of her parents’ property and being greeted by the family’s very giddy pet schnauzer Casey.
2. Casey is seen flopping over after over-exerting itself barking.
3.The dog was later given the all-clear by a vet who was shown the footage of it collapsing.
And here is the astonishing video:
