U.S. Marines Get To Test Famas Assault Rifles In A Heavy Urban Combat Firefight Simulation.

U.S. Marines and French Army soldiers conduct an urban combat firefight house-to-house fighting simulation training exercise in France.

The French Army soldiers with 35th Infantry Regiment and U.S. Marines with Charlie company, 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-Crisis Response-Africa participated in a combined arms and mechanized vehicle integration training event hosted by French Army Center for Urban Combat Training instructors aboard Camp Sissonne, France.

U.S. Marines and French soldiers aimed for integrating their skills and resources, including weaponry and military vehicles to form an effective battle plan, similar to what they may face in the event of a future crisis.

During this operation U.S. Marines also conducted combat training against a simulated enemy of French Army soldiers.

The close urban combat firefight was simulated with a MILES system in combination with a blank cartridges.
