We Just Want A Family ‘That Cares For Us And Loves Us’. Six Kansas Siblings Make A Moving Public Appeal For Adoption.

Six Kansas siblings have made a moving public appeal in to find a new home together and not be split up. Christian, 15, Ally, 10, Raymond, 9, Tyson, 8, Taylor, 6 and four-year-old Lindsay are desperate to be placed into a family together.

Their demands for a new family are not too much — just “one that cares for us and loves us and really wants to be with us”, in the words of 10-year-old Raymond. At present, the oldest child — Christian — is in a foster home while his siblings are placed in another foster home, but they are desperate to be rejoined. Ally, a girl of 10, talked of her hopes regarding a new family:

A big house. A family that likes kids and is going to commit to us because it’s going to take a lot of work.

The post on the adoption website states that they are “in need of a family that can deeply commit to them and encourage them to be their very best. It adds that “Christian is a sweet boy who really responds well to adult attention”. For her part, Ally is described as a bright little girl “who loves to get her hair done and play dress up and enjoys playing and seems to make friends easily”.

Raymond is described as an “active little boy who responds well to love and encouragement. He loves physical contact and adores being liked. He is motivated by positive reinforcement”. Tyson “enjoys being read to and being rocked’ while Taylor ‘likes girly things and pretend play”. Linsday, the youngest of the siblings, has gained much-needed weight since being in care and now “loves to eat and likes to feed herself”. (Scroll down for the video report.)

The six siblings were featured in the Kansas City Star’s Family Wanted weekly article and then caught the attention of local radio host Dana Wright of KMBZ’s radio show Dana and Parks. Wright says that they had lots of interest and one couple wrote in that they were contacting the organization to see if they could adopt all six kids. However, none of the families have been suitable yet — only families living in Kansas are eligible.
