Dr. Goodall conducted a famous 45-year study of the social and family interactions among the human’s closest relative in the Gombe Stream National Park, Tanzania, which completely overturned everything we thought we knew about chimpanzees.
Well, this morning, Reddit user sacredserenity has been good enough to share with us this fascinating photo of a very young Dr. Goodall — perhaps at the beginning of her seminal study — reaching out to a baby chimp. Amazing!
